LOT 717 PAINTER PANTS WITH BUCKLE IN RAW INDIGO
Based on painter pants from the 1920s to the 1930s. To create a cohesive look, the stitching has been updated to a twin-needle construction, with adjusted stitch spacing. Additionally, the hammer pocket was deliberately removed to better complement the wide silhouette. The fabric is a newly developed original 9oz denim, created through analysis of vintage denim from the era. It features green-cast indigo-dyed warp yarns
conceived by Taiga Takahashi himself, combined with undyed, natural-toned weft
yarns. While preserving the vintage color tone, the yarn count and density were
carefully adjusted, resulting in a rich texture distinct from standard left-hand
twill denim, thanks to its 1/2 right-hand twill weave. The buttons and buckle, marked with original engravings, are made of iron and left uncoated to develop an aged beauty over time.
