A coal bag from the 1920s served as the inspiration for this design. These bags were commonly used when coal was a primary source of fuel. They were simple in construction— typically just canvas with handles—but highly valued for their strength and
utility in daily life. This piece is reimagined with a new silhouette that retains the original rivet construction while incorporating stitching details inspired by the Newsboy
Bag. It combines heavy-duty canvas for the body with leather reinforcements at the bottom and on the handles.
