THE LOUNGE HAT IN WALNUT DYED PANAMA STRAW
The over-dyed Lounge Hat is botanically dyed using black walnut hulls by Kristina Foley, . Black walnuts have been an ancient, natural source of rich brown/grey hues throughout North America. This alchemical dyeing process produces a deep, earthy color with subtle variations that reflect the artisan craftsmanship.
Kristina Foley is an artist based in the countryside near Portland, Oregon. Her artistic process uses natural fibers and botanical colors to explore a deeply personal sense of place and a commitment to sustainability.
The Lounge hat has an organic, freeform shape. It features an open crown and a long brim. The sweatband is sewn in using a high-quality cotton twill ribbon. The brim length varies by approximately one to two inches, so please email us to confirm if this is a concern. We can also add a black split suede or nylon drawstring, just leave a note at checkout.
