The Mercado Trouser is a generously proportioned pleated trouser cut from a dry, crisp, and densely woven mid-weight wool gabardine that originates from a legendary mill in the Chibu region of Japan. The fabric's effortless drape is tempered by a classic tailoring including a sizeable front box pleat which meets a widened belt loop, creating a playful yet refined silhouette. Details include tailors seat and full inseam for sizing flexibility, slash front pockets, welted rear pockets, and three-quarter length front bemberg lining.

James Coward is a collaborative project between three friends: Patrick Bull, Daniel Garrod, and Aaron Gray. They create garments through the reinterpretation of archetypical shapes, fabrics, and details, harmonizing their eclectic triad of sensibilities, influences, and histories. Their project works to create new perceptions of and relationships to the pliable objects and images that construct identity and beauty. All materials are sourced from mills with rich histories. For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
