MEN'S STRATUS ALPACA PILE VEST

The Stratus Vest is a streamlined, mid-layer vest with generous armholes and a relaxed, roomy fit. It is finished with a polished 2-way Riri zipper for flexible styling and ease of wear. It is made from a naturally brown alpaca pile knit from undyed fiber sourced from a small herd in upstate New York. The pile has a soft halo and cushioned loft, with subtle tonal shifts that reflect the fleece's natural color. A small amount of recycled nylon is used in the backing for added durability.

93% alpaca fiber, 7% recycled nylon.
Spot clean only. Hang outside on a dry day to freshen. To lift the pile or erase impression marks, steam lightly, going against the grain. Gentle hand brushing can also help.
For moth resistance, store clean garments folded
in a breathable bag with cedar or lavender, in a cool, dry
place.

Dana grew up in Northern BC and Vancouver before moving to New York to design menswear. There, she eventually founded her eponymous label before taking a five-year hiatus from the garment industry.

Dana Lee Brown is a textile-focused clothing line, built on a range of custom field-to-loom fabrics developed with North American farms and supply chains. The design starts with natural fibres grown as close to home as possible—followed by yarn spinning, weaving, knitting, and other steps that extend from the Cascadian Coastline to the Maritimes. While textiles are typically reliant on complex global supply chains, the creative challenge of exploring what can be made with resources close at hand continues to shape the work. The intention is not only to invest in restorative local fibre systems, but to create textiles that are both unique and compelling—reflective of the landscapes they come from.

For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
