R0 Y-3 GILL JACKET IN BLACK MASTER SHIELD

The Gill Jacket is a hooded jacket with a loose, slightly cropped fit. It has a self-lined front and hood, enlarged slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape, and slashed pockets that extend from the armholes. Developed by the British Air Force in the late 19th century, the design of this cloth was later recommissioned in Japan by the Japanese Coast Guard. Superfine thread is woven at maximum density, then exposed to water — the yarns swell, becoming impermeable and water resistant without the use of any coatings. Lightweight and breathable, with a dry, matte handle. Woven in Saitama.
