Heidi Anderson's foundation in painting is evident at first glance. Her ceramic figures and vessels use clay as both foreground and background, with low-fire glazes applied sparingly and with intent. Her palette is inspired by her love for the desert and her home in California. Each ceramic figure is charged with her influences and individual symbology, but still finds a place in the universal.
