Laura Burke was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Her background is in printmaking, specifically large-scale screen printing, but she has since shifted focus to drawing. Laura magnifies banal moments to make them extraordinary. Vibrant, mushy pastels contrast with saturated and precise pencil, mirroring landscapes contained within windows, vessels, and flowers that are both familiar and unknown, questioning the line between inside and outside.
