Arpenteur revisited the iconic Paraboot Chambord derby to make it a more everyday shoe. They wanted to emphasize this model’s timeless beauty in a more contemporary manner. The toe and quarters were merged to simplify the shoe’s upper to the extreme. Details such as the lining and assembly thread were given a tone-on-tone treatment for a unified look. These changes soften this shoe’s more traditional design, allowing it to be worn in a variety of styles, ranging from the most formal to the casual.

Arpenteur was created in 2011 in Lyon by Marc Asseily and Laurent Bourven. The brand’s collections are halfway between respect for tradition and creation stemming from multiple inspirations. Arpenteur products combine the utilitarian quality of outerwear, workwear, and sportswear with the sophistication of studied cuts and sleek finishes. In keeping with their aim to perpetuate the history of local menswear manufacturing, all Arpenteur products are entirely made in France.

For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
