The Abalone brooch is handcrafted in the Mosquito atelier with an abalone shell and mother-of-pearl beads. The beads are strung with silk thread and individually knotted by hand—a traditional technique that enhances both the durability and elegance of the piece. The brooch component is entirely crafted in Italy from sterling silver and finished with a 3-micron 18k gold bath. Each piece is crafted slowly and intentionally, with subtle variations and imperfections that reflect its artisanal, one-of-a-kind nature.

For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
