SANPO JACKET IN STRIPED LINEN

The Sanpo Jacket are made of a very soft, thick linen twill. The nidom process, in which the fabric is kneaded and beaten to soften it, leaves a washed-out feeling and a rustic texture. The selvage is exposed at the cuffs, it has a boxy, relaxed fit, diagonal button closure and front patch pockets. The collar has a slight amount of height, which can also be folded back.

In Tamil, Tukir is the color of the Nipponia Nippon, an endangered specie of bird. It also has the same pronunciation as the word "time" in ancient Japanese. Tukir has a focus on deep sustainable research. Together with their niche Japanese textile company, they researched and tested the aging of the garments over the course of years. They use pre-industrial fabric manufacturing techniques and create each piece by considering how it the fabric and design will change over time allowing the garment to become more charming with wear.

For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
