The foundation of Bodmer-Turner's Permanent Collection, inspired by the arching bridge of a classic Peruvian stirrup vessel, but elongated to celebrate one single stem or vine. Opening through neck and belly, makes it possible to run a stem through the top and into the water sitting in it’s base. Pair next to the same vessel in the larger size.

Cast white stoneware, creamy semi-matte glaze. Watertight. The Small Single Stem Vessel is a beautiful vase by Brooklyn-based artist Simone Bodmer Turner. She works with clay, and though drawn to functional forms—she isn’t a potter. Instead, she works as a hand-build artist, creating distinctly contemporary works that draw from traditional clay vessels.
