Beautiful 1870s handwoven American coverlet. Also known as a Linsey-Woolsey, which is a plain-woven fabric with a linen warp and a woollen weft. Often locally handwoven for everyday use in the home. Some fraying on the edges, which is expected with an item of this age. Would make a lovely bed coverlet or for display. We love the light blue and earthy terracotta colors in this example.
